stest - raw synchronous test application

Syntax

stest [-f frames] [-b bytes_per_frame] [-S seconds] [-RcrsFh] [-n networkID]

Description

stest may be used to send a pattern and/or receive data on a raw synchronous link.

These command line options are recognized:

Option Description
-f The number of frames to send before exitting. Default is 0, meaning an infinite number.
-b The number of bytes which should be put in transmitted frames or expected in receive frames. Default is 1500.
-S The number of milliseconds that the program should wait between successive transmitted frames. Default is 0.
-R enable fast refresh (after every frame) of the statistics display
-c disable checking of received data for the expected pattern
-r operate in receive mode and sent no data. This is the default.
-s operate in send mode and receive no data.
-F operate in full duplex, both sending and receiving the test pattern.
-n picks the network ID (from /etc/packetnets). The default is 0.
