These command line options are recognized:
| Option | Description |
| -f | The number of frames to send before exitting. Default is 0, meaning an infinite number. |
| -b | The number of bytes which should be put in transmitted frames or expected in receive frames. Default is 1500. |
| -S | The number of milliseconds that the program should wait between successive transmitted frames. Default is 0. |
| -R | enable fast refresh (after every frame) of the statistics display |
| -c | disable checking of received data for the expected pattern |
| -r | operate in receive mode and sent no data. This is the default. |
| -s | operate in send mode and receive no data. |
| -F | operate in full duplex, both sending and receiving the test pattern. |
| -n | picks the network ID (from /etc/packetnets). The default is 0. |
