Access the Trace Configuration Page

Description

The Trace feature interprets trace buffers maintained by the protocol software to display the contents of all frames exchanged with the remote on the standard output device. Frames arriving from the remote with incorrect CRC characters are not displayed.

Settings
Trace for # secondsDefine the number of seconds (from 5 to 120) that you wish the trace to run.
Trace LCI # onlySpecify, by number, a single virtual circuit on this link to trace.
Display # of bytes per frameThis value is used to set the frame trace buffer sized.The maximum value is 80 bytes.
Switches
Character DecodingUse this to decode the packet trace information from ASCII or EBCDIC to plain text.
Decode FacilitiesStarts a symbolic display of packet level facilities.
Decode Packet LevelStarts a symbolic display of packet level data.
Show Time StampsPrints the time of the frames arrival in the first column of the symbolic display.
Show Frame Level RRsTurns on Frame level RR tracing.
Raw TraceWill display raw data. Protocol headers will not be interpreted.
