Syntax

mtest [Options]

Description

mtest is used to create multiple virtual circuits with a traffic pattern the same as gentalk would generate. mtest uses threads to run the chosen number of virtual circuits in parallel and spread out on multiple network IDs.

These command line options are recognized:

Option Description
-n A network ID. You may specify multiple times on the command line. Default is 0.
-t Wait the specified number of milliseconds between writes to the VC. Default is 0.
-d specify how long a gentalk is allowed to run in seconds (maximum time). Default is 60 seconds.
-D specify how long a gentalk should always be run in seconds (minimum time). Default is 20 seconds.
-g Specify the number of gentalks to start up. Default is 4.
-m Specify the maximum netid number to use + 1. Default is 16.
-S Specify buffer size to send. Default is the packet size.
-i Sleep this many seconds between calls. Default is 1.
-r Choose random networkID. Default is off
-h Show help for this command
